I'm down a Pokemon. One of my customers didn't have enough money on him when he came to pick up his Mismagius yesterday, so he gave me a Dusk Stone instead. I don't mind being paid in items once in a while, especially if it's something that I'm able to use. Murkrow's been acting a little antsy lately, so I was hoping evolution would be a perfect solution.

Or... Honchkrow, I guess. He was ready to evolve, so I let him use the Dusk Stone. He looked so proud and happy right after he evolved, preening and strutting around like he owned the whole Center. It was such a switch from his skittish, quiet Murkrow self. He really seemed to enjoy his newfound look, even going so far as to play with all the Pokemon in the Center just to show himself off. What a little ham.

The Murkrow flock came back, though. They came back and they took to him like I've never seen. I suppose I shouldn't be shocked, though; it's the nature of Murkrow. They flock to a Honchkrow and follow it for the rest of their lives. I guess they knew he was ready to evolve, even if I couldn't see it myself.

Then they left. Honchkrow said his goodbyes, then just... flew off with them. I shouldn't have expected him to ask for my permission or anything; he's smart enough to make his own decisions, after all. But it was so sudden, and I'm not sure it's completely registered in my head yet. In less than a day, my little Murkrow evolved and flew away.

The house is getting so empty. Is this the season for Pokemon to become independent?
