We blew through Sandgem town. Other towns have nice, quaint sayings like "Where the Sun Shines" or "Where Hearts Touch Each Other", but Sandgem's slogan is "The Sandy Town Connected to the Ocean" Yes. Really. That's how empty and boring it is.

But Jubilife! This town I can get used to. The technological advancements seem to be utilized better here than any town I've been through so far; of course there's the TV Station, but there's also a Poketch station (a supplement for the Pokegear?) and a terminal of some sort to connect with people across this whole world That will definitely be worth checking out. I don't have my meeting with Yamashita-kun's friend until tomorrow afternoon, so I'm going to take the morning to take my time to familiarize myself with the town.

The biggest news of the day, other than making it here in one piece, is the trip Leader and I took to look at the town's condominium complex. They're small, simple, and somewhat pricey compared to our other options, but they're in town. So now, provided that all the paperwork goes through and the second signature-to-be on the contract gets here in the time frame he's be planning on, I have a place to live.

I'm being stupidly emotional about the whole thing, I know, but it's nice to own something so concrete. (Oh no, are the puns rubbing off on me?) I can't sleep there tonight without all the paperwork, so it's one more night in the Pokecenter, but the important part is that it's there. A place to live without relying on the kindness of others. It feels so good.
