At what stage do you get over the "woah, there is a human being in there" feeling? after about a month or two of serious kicking it became more normal, but sometimes with a big shift it could be odd.

Pooping during labour? This is a huge fear of mine. On a scale of 1 to eternal mortification, how would you rate this if it happened to you. soooo not a big deal, even though i thought it would be. i don't even know if i did, as the nurses are very discreet and i didn't bother to ask nor did i really care in the moment.

How much does it hurt to pee and poop after a vaginal birth? peeing wasn't so bad if you use the squirt bottle, and i took stool softener so the first poop wasn't really bad despite be being terrified it would suck, but i had very few stitches.

How long did it take you to get pregnant once you started trying? 4 freaking years with the first one, a year and a half after the second (3 months after weaning).

How did you tell your partner? first time i bought him a tiny hammer and got him a card that said he "nailed" it, second time i told him to check out the cute thing our son did on my phone and he saw a pic of the test.

How long did you take off work before the birth? my boss told me to go home and rest about 3 weeks before i gave birth (very nice, but i could have kept going). with this one i am a stay at home mom, so i don't feel like there is any time off.

How long did you take off work after giving birth? stayed at home for probably 4 months, went back to work part time for another 6 months, then the business went under (and i was relieved as child care was a huge pain in the ass).

Did your vagina feel different after giving birth? If so, how? i don't remember anything crazy different once the swelling went down. it was pretty Sahara like though and i had zero desire but i nursed for 14 months which adds to both issues.

What was the worst part of pregnancy for you? for the first one leg cramps at night, trouble sleeping and feeling short of breath towards the end - it actually wasn't that bad at all. the second one was much rougher - nausea for 18 weeks, craptastic heartburn any time i lay down, lots more exhaustion, and having to "rest" due to pre-term contractions which is hard as hell with a two year old.

The best part? with the first one i felt cute and awesome and in awe of even the odd stuff that your body does during pregnancy - i felt like a crazy interesting science experiment. with this one...um, well it has been not as much fun to be honest.

Did you feel more or less sexy? when i lost the weight but still had a great rack (yay breastfeeding!) i felt pretty cute, but i don't think it was a more or less thing. i think wrapping your brain around "mommy" and "sexy" is a bigger challenge. it takes a while to reconcile the two and when i was nursing boobs were pretty utilitarian and i did NOT like them messed with. i loved going out (rarely though) and having a guy mack on me and his jaw dropping when he found out i was a married mom to be honest.

Did your partner find you more or less sexy? i don't know, i never noticed much of a change but my husband is awesome and would never let me know otherwise. he always makes me feel desirable.

At what stage does sex become more like a bouncy castle than a shag? when there is lots of kicking or the belly gets giant it can be odd, but it is still do-able.
