At what stage do you get over the "woah, there is a human being in there" feeling?
Not until after she was born.  That never stopped being odd to me.

Pooping during labour? This is a huge fear of mine. On a scale of 1 to eternal mortification, how would you rate this if it happened to you.
It did happen to me, but I didn't know until afterwards when Corey told me.  So, 1.  Honestly when I was pushing I didn't know that anything else existed in the universe except my need to get that baby out.

How much does it hurt to pee and poop after a vaginal birth?
Pee: not much after the first day, though I did have a couple of incidents where I tugged my stitches in the process of sitting down.  Poop: A lot.  A WHOLE lot.

How long did it take you to get pregnant once you started trying?
4 months, almost to the day.

How did you tell your partner?
I showed him the test stick.

How long did you take off work before the birth?
Special case: bedrest at 32 weeks.  I was planning to work until a week out from my due date.

How long did you take off work after giving birth?
12 weeks, paid because my boss is awesome.

Did your vagina feel different after giving birth? If so, how?
Yes.  Once the swelling went down and we were cleared to have sex again at 6 weeks, I could feel the scar tissue from where I tore.  And everything was very sensistive for quite a while, like almost a year.  Not painful per se, but we had to be careful because things could get painful really quickly at the wrong angle.

What was the worst part of pregnancy for you?
The last 2 weeks, I think.   I wasn't sleeping well, and I was SO SICK of being in the apartment alone all day.

The best part?
Two parts: While I was pregnant, I had her all to myself in a way that no one ever will again for the rest of her life. I loved that, it was the single most intense, intimate experience of my life. And two, actually giving birth.  That was a wonderful experience.

Did you feel more or less sexy?
Less. Much less, for like 3 years.

Did your partner find you more or less sexy?
No change, I think, but he refused to have sex with me after I got noticeably big because it freaked him out.

At what stage does sex become more like a bouncy castle than a shag?
We didn't make it that far, see above. :)
