SotU/Drop Meme
ACTUALLY, rather than continuing to ramble in the chicken soup post, I think what I really want to do is a SoTU!

IC: ...Wait oh god I forgot about this section do I have to summarize Raven's IC state of mind I don't think I can. Um, basically... there have been a lot of feelings lately! He interrupted Judith and Naoto about to kiss, and seeing as how he has ridiculous crushes on BOTH OF THEM it was awkward. Now he is trying to balance being happy for them with being jealous and trying to help out his friends with intruding in a relationship that's not about him and/or being a skeevy voyeur and lots of other stuff and it's complicated. Meanwhile and somewhat relatedly he has been having quite a lot of more general thoughts on what he wants out of ~romance~ and whether it's something he can ever conceivably really have.
ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, when he's not having intensely emotionally-fraught conversations, Raven is a) really good at keeping up his facade, as always, but also b) ... somewhat more laid-back about things? That sounds weird to say, but he is actually easing off a bit on his trying-too-hard defense mechanisms and flailing less when approaching sincere feelings. I guess this is what they call character progression?! It is a new and wonderful feeling.
OOC: Loev playing Raven. I don't really know what I am doing with his relationship drama or where it is going at all, but it's... new and interesting and I am still enjoying myself. For a while I wasn't playing much and was kind of worried the soap opera was taking over, but I've had more threads outside of it recently and they have been a lot of fun too. I LIKE PLAYING RAVEN ON ALL LEVELS. On that note! If you are someone who is not Judith or Naoto, either who I have not played with or have fallen down on CR with, I want to play with yooouuu and you should comment here.

IC: Staticccc. Less annoyed than she was last time I did a SoTU, I think, because camp still makes no sense but at least there is TREASURE. (i.e. I actually played her for a bit and she got a bunch of gold and jewels.)
OOC: I thought the other day that Perscitia would be the one I would miss most out of my lineup other than Raven, which is weird considering I've barely played her in the past two or three months. But I love her, she is my soul animal, and I don't really mind having her as a backburner for those times when you just really need a math-genius dragon from the 1800s.

OOC: Ugh I just. Justin is amazing, but he's HARD for me to play, in a few ways! I knew this would happen when I apped him! He doesn't talk to people - he literally ignores them - which is an incredibly obnoxious thing to do when tagging a post. The "I can't hear you" joke is a pain to play out all the time but I still feel like I'm not doing it enough. I have no fucking clue what his motivations or ideals are, and I can make stuff up but that only takes me so far, especially when canon is ongoing. And speaking of canon, for the first time in approximately... ever, I am not enjoying (I am actually incredibly annoyed at) the Soul Eater manga. I really hope this month's chapter is somehow redeeming.

IC: Right now she is UNHAPPY AND BORED but that's largely my fault for not getting her involved in things. I need to get her out more to get more of a read on her state of mind.
OOC: A few days ago I was unenthusiastic about playing any of my characters except Raven, like I get. Then I renewed everyone's accounts and finished Balalaika's icons and had a thread with Sherlock and was suddenly like "oh, right, this is why I have Balalaika, she is amazing and I love her." So. Doing better now. I think it really depends on who I throw her at, and I will have to get used to being selective about what relationships work and seeking them out, because I have barely played her so far and she has almost none.
