this really happened.
last night i went on a really fun date. the plan at first was to drink some wine by the tracks, and on the way my date decided she needed chapstick and i needed nasal spray. she stopped into 7-11 while i waited outside, where i talked to a friendly homeless man. when she got out of the store, she said, "that guy looks like the one from that seventies show!" "you mean tommy chong? from cheech and chong!" i said, just as we walked by the calvin theater where tommy chong was reciting his marijuana logs that night. a funny coincidence we thought, as we walked by la veracuzana just in time to see tommy chong eating a burrito! we decided to be groupies and wait on the sidewalk outside. we were waiting there for a half hour when a really really really drunk ada came running out of the bushes and tripped over my leg! she fell right over and hit her head on the wall. her drunk friend came running after her but the ada pushed her away, and there was a fight! hairpulling, screaming, punching and all! much to the wow of my date, i stepped in of course, broke up the fight, and proceeded to guide the drunk ada home. we didn't get very far before she ran away. my date and i decided she would make it home and so we went back to stalk mr. chong, who had left during our five minute absence! go figure! luckily we were by the tracks and could proceed with our original plan, which turned out to be a good idea and extremely romantic, and then we went back to my room and had a tommy chong moment. the best date in years.
