... This wouldn't happen to be related to the murders Hanamura-san told me about, would it?

[Well, that's the first time she's heard anyone else who wasn't from Inaba talk about it.]

Wait a second... you know about them, Kyon-san?

Not in detail. Just that every time there's a foggy night in Inaba, somebody gets killed.

'Like the girl in Hanamura-san's dream.'

That's pretty much the gist of it, really...

Hanamura-san did tell me the killer was caught though. Is it true?

Yeah, we were able to catch him and all that. But it's not exactly something I want to remember, you know?

I don't blame you. A killer lose in your hometown isn't exactly a comforting thought.

Yeah. It isn't. I mean, I know he's not around here anymore and that he's behind bars back home but having to be reminded like this is pretty harsh.

[There's an exasperated sigh.] And the blackout isn't helping at all, either.

'That strange woman earlier probably wasn't helping matters either.'

I hate to admit it, but I have a bad feeling about this. Looks like this is only the beginning.

Gee, thanks. Way to make this even worse, Kyon-san.

'Sorry, but this could be another clue about how this place works. Though, I could do without the apocalyptic living conditions.'

I'm just being realistic. Nothing wrong with thinking about this logically.

I guess you're right. It's just... I've never seen this place do something this bad, one after the other.

Yeah, it was always little things. Like, it only affected the people here.

'But now even the world itself is feeling the affects...'

I'd say it doesn't really make any sense, but we've pretty much already established that, being stuck here for so long.

Uh-huh. I hope you're wrong about something big coming after this though. We've been having it pretty rough already.

I'm just waiting for everything to go back to normal. This world has an uncanny ability of fixing itself up after a huge disaster.

Well, I'm not sure if it really counts but I'm glad that it does. It'd totally suck if we had to go through this kind of thing all the time.
