Under the careful and enthusiastic eye of Peter Pan, Jonas found himself with a shovel, digging a hole in the ground for baby Gabriel. After Peter had shown him exactly how to dig a good hole, Jonas asked to complete the burial spot. He thought it was only appropriate.

Peter had brought along Wednesday, his friend that was a sort of strange girl, Jonas thought. She was-Jonas searched for word until he decided on- dark. When Jonas could see beyond, he noticed that she had worn dark clothes and had very dark skin that was very obvious against her very pale skin. Jonas was interested in her. She seemed different. She strangely enough had a wooden box that Jonas was told was called a coffin.

The three of them, Peter with his shovel, Wednesday with her coffin, and Jonas with Gabriel, headed towards an area of the island called the Memorial Tree. It was only after they had comprised that it would he here that the baby would to be buried that Wednesday gave up hopes of having the ceremony at the Volcano..
