hotel chelsea nights
so I think i've been updating this journal way too frequently. sorry if there is too much to read.
things in the city have been going swimmingly. my first few weeks as a freshman have gone surprisingly well. classes are great. facilities and teachers are great. some of the people here are iffy, but I like them anyways.
I saw ryan adams at the beacon, which was an amazing show. he's on my top 5 artist list now. I also met sally, firstly a cool girl, and secondly a fashion designer. I think we're going to collaborate.
my photographer friend george duncan has finally hit it big. I've known him for a bit over a year, he graduated from sva last spring. after having a small photo printed in the new york times, he was booked for the cover of the magazine and has gotten calls from some big names. I was pretty excited when he asked me to assist him on the cover shoot in atlanta. so we flew down to georgia this past weekend and did just that. it was pretty amazing to say the least, I feel pretty lucky. also nice to have the times pay for everything, including a sweet stipend to boot.
fall in nyc is amazing. it's like living in vanilla sky.
