I know this is short notice but...
Well, one of the things I've been doing to keep myself from going insane from boredom while unemployed was playing in a band.
It's a "Gypsy Jazz" style band (Whatever that means) and I'm playing keys in it...and ancient Hammond Organ...doing my best NOT to sound like the doors while playing it.
So tonight, Sunday the 18'th of July (Oh shit need to return that video) we're playing our first gig at a poetry reading night at SK net Cafe up the street from CPCC.
Now, I hate poetry readings with the fiery passion of a thousand burning suns, but I'm not unhappy about the weird-ass music we've been cranking out...however, I really don't think the two should go together...not to mention that this will be the first time in my life that I've NOT been payed to perform(times have changed I'm told)...but hey,I'm not complaining or anything.
If anyone feels like coming, feel free...but I'll understand if it's not your thing...
Oh yeah...starts at 8:PM...and it's free.
