There are very few people that Brad Colbert would actually count as friends. Yes, there's Jenni and Matt, and there's Ray and Poke...Nate's complicated ground. Most of the guys he served with, he wouldn't chose to spend time with in California, off the clock. He's met a lot of new faes in the month or so since he arrived on the island, but there's very few that he's actually connected with. Abby's one of them. He genuinely likes Abby. She's not difficult to be around.
Most people? Are fucking difficult to be around.
Brad's sitting at the bar, arms folded, beer in front of him. There's dancing going on behind him, but he's not really watching it. The beer's not great, but it's better than the beer they didn't have in the desert. He's been sitting in the same stool for hours, shooting the shit, keeping Abby company.
It's better that spending his time sulking.
