(no subject)
I slept until seven today! I was so happy. And even more amazing...Tanner slept until 8:30! His mother will be so jealous. I had time to eat a leisurely breakfast and peruse email and lj all by myself before Hope got up.
The baking is going well so far. I had a little panic attack when the pie was overflowing and I couldn't get it into the oven but I managed to manuever the aluminum pan into a bigger glass one and now all of the overflow is in the glass pan and not on the floor of my oven. The cobbler is baking now and then I'll put in Malissa's banana bread. I even managed to squeeze in 25 minutes on the evil bike while the kids were watching Spongebob. Spongebob annoys me but he keeps the kids distracted. :)
I also washed all of Lexie's dishes and gadgets. Without crying. I'm doing better. I know I'm going to miss her for a long time but I'm really ready for it to sink in that she's gone. Because the hardest part is remembering every time I think I see something out of the corner of my eye or when I'm watching where I'm walking in case she's under my feet.
Okay, the cobbler is almost done so I guess I should start mixing the banana bread. I have no idea how people do an entire dinner and the desserts. I totally understand why Mom makes me do dessert. I already told Jaimie that when Mom isn't here or can't do the dinner anymore, she's doing it. I will be the designated dessert lady forever! Because I'm the oldest and I said so. :P
