Who's killing who?
So I'm sitting here at my hotel room with some of my dad's buddies chillin and watching tv. So i'll run through whats happened like everday since i've left zanesville.
Saturday - We get up at 9ish and we're on the road by 10am. My dad's driving and we're on our way to Charlottesville Virginia. My uncle lives there and he had bought my dad some Callaway Fusion woods in China (where they're made) and we were stopping to get them so he could use them this week. So my uncle literally paid 50 dollars for about 300+ dollars worth of golf equipment. So we ended up there about 4 and stayed for about an hour and had to continue south. We stopped i think finally at like 10pm and stayed in Fayettesville North Carolina. Boring. Dad just went right to bed, but I talked to Morgan that night for a while then slept.
Sunday - Wake up about 10 and got breakfast (that sucked) and then left. We end up in Santee South Carolina by 2, and we can't get in our hotel til 3. So we go to the golf course down the road and hit a bucket of balls. Turns out, i suck. But we'll get to how bad later . So then everyone of my dads buddies (there's 12 of us in all) started arriving about 330. We commence much drinking. So turns out that night Morgan goes over to my house...in zanesville and hangs out with my mom for a couple hours that night. It was hilarious! I think it was so sweet of her. I talked to my mom tonight about how it went, and she's like: "I loved it. She was really sweet! I'm really impressed that she likes you!"...aren't we all.... (i'm joshing you!) So then I talked to Morgan about how it went later that night, and she told me all the gory (embarrassing!) details....Slept...
Monday - First day of golf. Up at 7, eat breakfast, then go to Foxboro GC. My group consisted of ringers. We had the best scores for the day. I played okay for the first time out this year. 43-41=84. Let me explain, we bet. We bet like mad. We paid 44 dollars on Sunday to enter us in all the weeks games. Skins, putts and closest to pins. That doesn't include side bets also. So this day, i had 3 sidebets in my group. I ended up winning 2 dollars on side bets. I got a skin, worth 15 dollars, and won a side for the putts. How the putting works is this:
0 putts (chip in, putt off the green): 1.5 cards.
1 putt: 1 card.
2 putts: .5 cards.
3+ putts: no cards.
At the end you add up the number of cards you get per 9 holes and you get dealt and try to make the best poker hand you get, the more cards the better. This day i got 7 cards on the front and 6 on the back, i won 1 side with 2 pair and got paid 12 more dollars. Winnings after the first day = 15+12+2 = 29 dollars.
Tuesday (today) - We get up again at 7, its pouring down rain. We reschedule our tee time for 1:08pm. We go out, NO ONE played good. The scores we're like (best beginning) 82, 85, 86, 87....and a bunch more...i had the 87. BUT, i got 2 skins, totally 24 dollars. I got the best poker hand anyone has ever seen for putts (3 A's and 2 8's...full house!) and won 12 more dollars....total for today 24+12 = 36....
My total for this trip thus far is 36+29 = 65 bucks. Remember i paid 44 to play, so i've already made it back and then some. I love taking these old dudes' money . This trip has been awesome thus far. I love it. I'm really glad i had the opportunity to come down here. Because even though i'm not playing really well, i have my moments, and its obviously paying off quite well. So thats really neat. Hopefully i'll win about 100 dollars by the end of the week. We have 2 days left, so hopefully something neat will happen. Tomorrow we play the 'best' course we play supposedly. Cool!
Other than that, I miss Morgan to death. We talk a lot during the day and night and stuff. But I miss seeing her and hanging out with her. But at least we can still talk and stuff, via free wireless internet. So i'm not like going crazy or whatever. But I told her i'll be home like thursday night at 10...and i said I AM SEEING YOU. She says: "I don't care if its 1, 2, 3am, i will see you". So thats nice. as in REALLY NICE. I get to meet her parents Friday....so, hopefully i'll make the Joshua James Rognon impression and they'll accept me! hahahaha, i'm joshing. But yea, thats pretty much all i can say. I'm having a great spring break not in Ohio, but i'm sure if i were there, i'd have just as much fun!! ....I'll be home in 2 days...It shall come sooner than we think...
