Has Estado en Baia?!?!?

Yeah so work has continued at the Waikiki Aquarium; I started to learn how to train a 400+ lbs. Hawaiian Monk Seal and feed it without getting bitten..that's a blast. But one event that completely scared the beejezus out of me was when desensitizing one of them to blood work I got slapped with a hind flipper. My other duties include feeding the day octopus (pain in the butt at times) and Bearded Armor Heads which are super cute!!!
In other news since I've been back @ UH I had a roommate and she has left after an odd almost Twilight Zone experience of leaving used feminine products on her desk, yelling matches at 2am and guitar hero parties with people sitting on my bed and eating my food...needless to say I'm glad she's gone. I'm also thinking about quitting my job at the moped spot and focus on WAQ.
I'm pretty excited for my mom to visit in August I kind of feel my summer break was cut short because of summer classes and wish I could have spent more time with friends and other familia members...but that's the way the cookie crumbles I guess...speaking of cookies, I have to pull some out of the oven.

***PAUSE***

And we're back!! hahaha
So I've been thinking a lot about what my plans are for graduate school and where I wanna go after I get my BS...I'm leaning towards getting my masters in Marine Biology and then going to veterinary school which will cost crazy amounts and is insanely hard to get into but everyone I've talked to said their confident in me kicking ass. Because of my choice in field I will probably be returning to California...again...YAY!!!!! Or I might be going to Florida or England (the 2 places I really will consider are England or UC Davis CALI!!!)

Other than that I sent some of my poems for a competition that has applicants from North and South America which is a ton-o-people but I made the finalists and get to travel to Bahia in Brazil in 2009 and perform three 10-15 minute pieces. I'm super stoked about the competition but also nervous because I've only performed my poems in front of less than 20 people and I was told there will be 5 judges and 5,000+ people in the audience that will include professors, people with literary achievements and of course parents. So when asked "¿você foi nunca a Baía?" my reply was "¿Não, eu nunca fui a Baía?"

crazy roomates, waq, poetry competition, graduate plans
