The ship was still in a state in the hanger. It wasn't as bad as it had been. Lyssa had done a lot of work on it and had a few scrapes, ruined tools and piles of junk to show from it. She yelped and hopped about swearing as the wires she'd been stripping down gave her an electrical shock. She threw down the pliers she had been holding and stomped

Owen shook his head as he escorted Lyssa out of the medical lab. One arm wrapped around her waist, he was quiet as they walked, thinking. He was great at medical things, but not so much at the technical stuff. He just knew how this would go.

As they walked into the hangar, he looked around. "Okay, where it it?"

Lyssa swore as all she saw was a set of steps."I think it does it on purpose. Damn thing should not be invisible." She shook her head and shouted in another language. The ship appeared suddenly next to the steps. "There, what d'you think?"

His eyes widened and he didn't know what to think. Not only had she done it, but she'd made it appear out of nowhere. And she'd hinted the ship had a mind of its own! His jaw dropped open and he just stood there, staring.

"Uh..."

Lyssa started laughing and put a hand out to gently close his mouth. "You'll catch flies like that." She took his hand and tugged him towards the steps.

"Even better on the inside."

"Where have I heard that before?" He teased her and followed along, letting his fingers thread with hers. His head tilted to the side and he at least had the presence of shutting his mouth. Though his eyes might have widened.

"For that I think you should shut your eyes. So no peeking until you see inside." She wanted it to be a surprise. It would be, it wasn't all that big inside and there was quite a lot of extra bits inside that were there as it was all being replaced. The main thing though was at least the pilots chair was still exactly how it should be.

"Whatever." Owen shrugged his shoulders and let her lead him wherever as he closed his eyes. "I gotta say, I don't like it when you tell me to close my eyes."

"Ah, right. Of course you don't. I think that dislike is part of the reason we ended up with a baby." She smirked as she led him along. Making sure he picked his feet up.

"Okay. We're inside. You can open your eyes."

He shook his head and just waited until it was his turn, so to speak. Finally, he opened his eyes, turning to glare at her. "Yes, and we have a child now. Meaning no more for a while. Please? A little break before the next one."

He looked around, smiling at what he saw. "Nice," he murmured. He gave her hand a squeeze, amazed at what he saw. "You're working very hard."

She shrugged. "Oh, I am more than happy to wait a while. Lots of whiles. That's if we consider another. If."

She looked about then back to him, proud. "Guess I am, gonna see this finished. Then we can go places."

"Big if. Please?" He gave her this almost pleading look. The last thing he ever wanted to do was piss her off. It did seem like he had a knack of being able to do that to her quite a bit. Still, they just had a kid. He was in no hurry to have another one any time soon. Couldn't they just get another dog, he thought to himself?

"Sounds good to me." Letting go of her, he moved around the ship, touching things, being careful what he touched and not pressing too hard. The lights in the ship seemed to flicker on and off as he moved his fingers across the console.

"Very big if." She agreed with him. She wanted to spend time with him and Rain first. See the little girl grow up. Then maybe have another. Maybe. But hey he didn't know that so a smirk would at least worry him. Lyssa liked to make Owen worry.

"Well looks like she like you." Lyssa grinned."That is clearly good news."

He frowned and turned back to her. "How can you tell she likes me?" He turned around again, scanning the ship. He didn't hear anyone talking? How could she really tell?

It was a simple answer. "Because you've not been shocked." She went and sat in the chair, sitting sideways with her legs over the arm of it.

"Great. So you have a booby trapped ship? And you just go around shocking people." He laughed and went over to sit in another chair. "So, what's the ships name?"

"No, just a ship who's a little... special." She made a face. "We're still working on it, same with the name I don't know. You have any ideas?"
