[Eiki wasn't sure when she had fallen asleep, it was rare of her to need sleep and she hadn't done anything that would require rest. Yet she woke up from a sleep and felt tired, sore, and achy. The moment it took her to open her eyes and feel around was the moment she realized what was wrong. She had been stripped, the same as when she had first

And when her eyes opened to the sight of the house's walls completely annihilated, and a cloud looming menacingly on the horizon, she stopped, stunned.
A nuclear bomb? Her mind raced, immediately; she'd seen the pictures of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs. Someone had dropped a nuclear bomb on the town...!?
But no... if that were so, then she would not have survived the house being in the blast radius. So she stood, immediately looking around. Her clothing was... as it always had been, but the familiar feeling of her rosary around her neck was gone... again.

She needed to see if anyone else had survived, though, and, standing, making her way over the piles of debris carefully to get to a pair of shoes or something of the sort... and then to investigate the house again...

[She takes another look around... and sighs.]

[She hadn't been keeping track of the food very much, as she didn't really eat it.]
If there isn't much here we should look at the other houses.

[She looks around again]
I mean, also, for weapons of some sort. When things come down to this... people can get to be...
... Greedy, I think. Or so I have read.

Disaster can bring both the best and worst out of people. You are right, we should prepare ourselves best we can. Maybe we can find some knives in what's left of the kitchen.

Yes. Something to stay safe, and somewhere to stay safe. If there are yet others from the town about, perhaps we can get with them. I'm sure there are people better equipped as fighters than... well, at least than I am.

And that is fortunate. Everyone is surrounded by others in the same predicament as they are... I suppose it would make neighbors a bit more charitable.
Well, the ones that can be, at least.
