A brief, unexpected visit to the Prophet's offices had produced a front page article with an unfortunate alliterative headline and a rather sensational (staged) picture of the prisoners being lead away with bags over their heads.
Atrium Attackers Apprehended
This morning the Ministry of Magic announced that the terrorists behind October 31st's vicious attack and assassination attempt have been captured. While a few of the individuals involved remain at large, ministry officials are declaring this a victory. The culprits have been identified as Simon Drax and Olivia Johnson. Under questioning, the captured pair proudly confessed to being the masterminds behind the attack and prominent members of the terrorist cell known as "The Order of the Phoenix". No further information is being disclosed at this time about the investigation, but we've been assured that is only matter of time before the remainder of the attackers are captured.
As for the fate of the two leaders, they will be publicly executed at noon tomorrow in front of the recently built Diagon Alley offices of the Department of Security and Defense. The ministry intends the executions to send a message that such threats to our safety and security will not be tolerated. We spoke to Josephine Sullivan, mother of one of the Aurors murdered in the attack. "This is what we've all been waiting for," she said tearfully, "justice is being done. Now we can finally have some closure."
