When the Order had been defeated at Malfoy Manor, it had taken quite some time to regroup. The first thing that Moody had done was make sure that whatever happened, they would have a place to escape to and be safe. Unconnected safe houses in various locations around the country. No one Order member would know every single location. At most, a single person would know of about five different ones and depending on whether or not they were still viable, would be able to use those few five. Once you put the whole group together, you could have a list of every single house in use.
Except a few had been lost. The ones that Moody knew about were gone now.
Hermione stood on the edge of the cliffs and looked down toward the Atlantic. Behind her was a single dwelling and to most Muggles it would appear as a ramshackle building of little interest. But to the Order... it was one of their safest, furthest away from anything, surrounded by water, buildings.
And this was where Ron would spend three days out of every month.
Turning away from the ocean view, Hermione looked at Tonks and then pulled her coat up, blocking the wind that was whipping up from below to settle a chill on her skin. They'd only just arrived and there was so much work to be done. Wards needed to be set up and the house needed to be re-stocked with supplies.
"Do you want to start on the inside and work our way out, or do the perimeter wards and work our way in?"
