She'd just finished putting the last bit of oomph into the gift she'd made for Michael. It had occurred to her recently that they had most likely fallen into the old patterns of behaviour from their past relationship at Hogwart's and her first year out, waiting for Michael to finish. The easy companionship, the open frankness, the affable nature of their time together was something she was beginning to think they took for granted.
It was something she wanted to change. Cho had been without him for so long, a hole in her heart for unknown reasons. When he'd found her in that tea shop in London, it was as if somebody had given her heart back to her, whole and unblemished. She wanted to get that feeling back, and to let Michael know just how much he meant to her. Tying the bow at a jaunty angle, she sat cross legged in their bed, waiting for him to come to her.
