I did a triathlon the other day, Sunday, but I haven't felt like writing about it. Basically, it was amazing. Check out my facebook pictures.
So I had a meeting with my adviser this morning- first one, because he just became my advisor at the end of last semester.
So I walk in and he's a really jolly guy and I tell him that I went to this weird high school so I have all these credits and we look at my degree audit and he's like yeah...you have enough credits to graduate this year.
Yeah, but I won't be able to finish my major in that time. But here's the deal:
I'm going to take 3 JCM classes and the last class for my international studies minor next semester. Hooopefully I'll have an internship somewhere next summer. I'm going to finish my major by winter term of next year. (January term, for those of you who aren't on a 4-1-4 schedule like us Eloners.) So that means I'm done a year and a half early. So I'll go to London for Spring semester and hopefully do another internship over there, and by that time it will be 2009 and the one-year intensive communications masters program will be up and running and so naturally my next step will be to spend my last year in "graduate school." So...4 years=BA and MA in journalism. Yay! :D
This way, I won't have to go into the "real world" any earlier than desired, and I don't have to struggle with whether or not to go to grad school cause hey we have a program right here and it will be just right!
Also....I'm sort of thinking about doing something I never thought I would do, and it is exciting :D It's about friends, and being part of something bigger, and I won't write it here until I tell certain people about it.
