Reid just won a staring contest with Harley. It was impressive, Harley's a glarer. I think I made that word up, but Reid agrees.

Today has been pretty great. Woke up at Reid's, then we went to Johnson Street to play disc golf. It'd been awhile since either of us played, but it was fun. It was kind of cloudy but warm, which seemed like good disc golf weather. A lot of other people thought so too. After that we went to Wendy's and then to Michael's to get stuff for our scrapbook. Yes, he is voluntarily helping me with a scrapbook ;) Theeeen I went out with my parents and he went home to eat with his. After dinner my parents and I went to the Daily Grind to see Anya because she was miserable working...and we found out why. There was a girl singing...and I mean really belting it out about God and the coming resurrection and heaven. There were only six or seven people in there so she was making eye contact with all of us and I just felt so uncomfortable. But...I did pick up a copy of the Rhino Times, which was very entertaining. I'm wondering if writing or interning for them would be good for my resume or not.

Speaking of the Daily Grind...
Last night was the Invisible Children screening. I ended up sort of hosting the thing because Darrell didn't really want to speak and Reid was nervous...so I spoke to the dozen people who were there, showed the film, told them how they could help and collected about $40. Reid's mom suggested that we do another screening at the Unitarian church on Hilltop later in the summer to get even more exposure. I gave the extra DVD that came with mine to Kate because I know she'll show it. After the movie almost everyone who was there stayed and talked. Reid, his mom, Kate, my mom and dad and I all sat together and talked. I love watching conversations travel. First we talked about the film, and then all kinds of things from health care to other political issues to gossip. I really felt like I was with some of the best people in the world :) This one guy, when he left after the movie, he said to me, "You did a great job, you should be really proud of yourself." I thanked him, but I was like...wow, really I just wish more people had shown up so more people could know about this. I was a little proud though, that I didn't stutter and that everyone seemed to get the idea of what I was saying. I think I generated some interest. So now to plan the next one.

I need to do the final edits on my Vet article. Finally. I also need to work on my portfolio. Summer is good. Life is good :)
