I'm pretty sure that making college students skip like 5-year-olds really is the closest thing that woman gets to fulfillment in her empty, meaningless life. Either that, or she just gets off on making us suffer.
In my GURPS game, the structure of the game is based off Firefly (the gang of spacefaring theives/smuglers/pseudo-criminals idea), but the world is one that our GM came up with. In this world, the only people who can navigate in Hyperspace are people who are born with an innate ability, and as a side effect of this they tend to be crazy. So I decided to make a navigator character, which meant I got 9 points of halucinations, 9 points of voices in my head, 10 points of amnesia (which I usually think is a cop-out, but in this game I was told it would fit well into the plot) and 22 points of a mysterious disadvantage, probably linked to all that life I can't remember. Oh yes, and dependance on medication to keep myself in the "functional crazy" range.
Plus, I bought up my perception and a couple extra levels in vision and hearing. So I hear and see things that the rest of the crew can't, only nobody, including myself, knows if they're actually there.
