Full House + 7th Heaven = Cancer

oh boy, everything has come to an extremely abrupt end. education and ballet has wrapped up on the 18th and 19th of june, and that was a relief. although im kind of missing ballet already. i'll check out what some rivals have in store for summer program. no matter how hard i try to avoid ballet boot camp, i always end up running back. like a puppy. who dances.

enough ballerinas, im just excited to be liberated. it'd be nicer to have a car but whatevs, i'll just enjoy the nice long walk to work in the sunshine and the love and shit. but summer also brings the usage of LiveJournal instead of Xanga. i'd like to keep in touch with one of my friends who has just moved for the summer and i figured this is one of the best ways since he is way into the LJ blog and community deal. rock.

i've started to compile my sophomore mix. i figured i'd do one for each year of high school since songs are such nostalgic vehicles of time travel bodies. wether or not i want to remember these years, it's some good tunes. here, in no particular order, are my tenth grade memory propelers and why they propel like they do:

1. Thursday - Steps Ascending (new album, concert)
2. Thrice - Paper Tigers (new album, concert)
3. Coheed and Cambria - Cuts Marked in the March of Men (new album, concert)
4. The Spill Canvas - All Hail the Heartbreaker (pure volume discovery)
5. Hey Mercedes - Oh, Penny (new album, basically my winter theme song)
6. Dashboard Confessional - Ghost of a Good Thing (new album, sang it a lot with my sister)
7. Saves the Day - Cars and Calories (learned to play it on piano, sang it a lot with my sister again, Mike's influence)
8. Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (one of my greater piano accomplishments)
9. Vanessa Carlton - Sway (piano again)
10. Death Cab for Cutie - Lack of Color (new album, another winter theme song)
11. The Anniversary - The Heart is a Lonely Hunter (a favorite from the first mix Mike ever gave me)
12. Spitalfield - I Love the Way She Said LA (another Mike's Mix favorite)
13. Copeland - Take Care (sang it a lot in Mike's car, Mary's influence)
14. Fire Theft - Heaven (new album, addiction, piano admiration)
15. The Shins - Mine's Not A High Horse (new album, different sounds)
16. Cursive - Art is Hard (Mary's influence)
17. Brand New - Sic Transit Gloria (Mary's, Andrew's, everyones influence, distinct memorable sound)

once my computer decides it's going to stop being ASS at the whole functioning thing i'll put it all together. if anyone somehow reads this and is interested in the tunage i'll hardcore hook your system up with a copy. just do some kind of special LiveJournal message reply comment thing and i'll send you a zipped file of the mp3s or something. my freshman mix has a little bit of a different feel to it, it's still got the thursday and coheed, but with some different stuff like yaphet kotto and open hand and tbs and some older incubus, pearl jam etc.

wow, that was a lot of words. congratulations if you made it to the end! i commend you, and you will now receive a get a golden star, a special winning token, and a cookie. YAY! okay stop by again since i'll be doing this instead of xanga from now on. kisses.

i love you,
sofi.
