Huma's record release party was last night, at a club/bar place on Ludlow street in Manhattan. I played trumpet for one of their songs, and the walls of the room were painted like a jungle. Through the window, you could see the roof of the building, on which there was a model giraffe and gorilla.

you're right; geezers need excitement.
bugles are great - all the passion of a trumpet without the fuss of valves.
p.s. - a woman from England tried to explain to my friends and I what a geezer is, and "dodgy" was the first word she used that we understood. Hence the connection.

LAIRY

British slang: Displaying an aggressive attitude in order to provoke a fight, argument or any verbal or physical confrontation.

"Stay away from him - he's well lairy," or "He's a right lairy git."

GIT:
Total and utter tosser who is incapable of doing anything other than annoying people, and not in a way that is funny to others. Best used idly. e.g. "Git."

"You useless git."

TOSSER:
Useless, pathetic, incapable of doing anything right

"Tony Blair is a useless tosser"
