quote of the day: "kum kum on the kickdrum, on the kickdrum." - the breakup
i think that the last time i updated this i was actually in michigan. i am there right now again. blystra's brother died and as i was on the phone when i found out tom got on the computer and booked me a flight to come home right away. i brought marlie with me, but annalee and tom are still at home. she won't respond to annalee and insists on being called mommy while i am gone. i guess pretending to be me is her coping mechanism while i am away. i thought that was really sweet. poor peanut baggins.
things here have been weird. my heart just breaks for b because i know what she is going through, and that she will go through this stuff for the rest of her life. but she is strong. i just hate how all this stuff happens.
things one the homefront are good. we spent a week in ocean city, maryland with tom's family for his grandparents 50th anniversary. it was awesome. there was such a strange (but good) combination of crab legs, beer, paulie ball tournaments and marlie throwing up on grandma anderson at the beach. after that tom surprised me with a weekend getaway while his parents took the girls. we stayted at a beautiful bed and breakfast, went to a movie and ate dinner at the melting pot. it was so much fun... and nice to be alone! then we spent all of sunday in chinatown, just shopping and hanging out. we ate at my favorite restraunt in the city... penang in chinatown. it was so good and we had such a great time. it was pretty much the best birthday extravaganza ever. hands down.
i finally graduated in may!! it only took me one dorm room, about 9 apartments, 3 different schools, 4 major changes, one marraige, two babies, and a total of 7 years. but, i did it. and needless to say it feels good to be done! i have been working one or two nights a week, which i really like. it's certainly no career, but i really like brushing up on my spanish and i get to walk to work. plus i am saving everything i make to save up and buy a house... or build a house? hey, God can do anything, and tom can build anything.
tom and i have been trying really hard to figure out future plans and all that. but, we have definitely decided that we are staying in pennsylvania for another year at least. we love our apt. in lasdale, we love storehouse church and all of our friends here, and we love watching our landlord paint the garage with glossy, interior bathroom paint. what more could you ask for.
well, i'm done.
