I don't know why I decided to make a tutorial of this. Maybe someday I'll regret it, LOL.
Well, if you are interested here it is the tutorial + psd.
First of all, I use PSCS5. And I don't know how to adapt it to other versions, sorry.
Step #01 - Here is the
original cap.
I started duplicating the capture and adding some Topaz Clean,
then I lowered the opacity. Personally, I don't usually like this paint effect on the eyes,
nose and some other curves of the face, so I erased it.
This is how it looks mine.
Step #02 - Then I added
this texture (Sorry I don't remember the maker),
and I set it to screen with 20% of opacity.
Optional Step - I didn't use this step on that cap because the face was too white. But it's depending on the cap.
I made a new black and white layer and lowered the opacity to 19%. But again, that's depending on the cap.
Step #03 - Then I duplicated the original cap, put it above the texture layer and set to soft light.
I only was looking to darken the hair, so I erased her face. The layer will look something like
this.
Step #04 - Color fill with this tone #f9fb5c for her hair. So I erased what it wasn't hair.
Set to multiply and 63% of opacity. And do the same for the lips (#b35d66 - soft light opacity 60%)
and for the shirt (#8e8ee9 - multiply opacity 48%). You can even put some colour to the cheeks.
I didn't because I didn't like more colour on that cap, but this is up to you!
Step #05 - Color fill with this colour #8e8ee9 and set it to darken with 64% of opacity.
Step #6 - Selective Colour: Yellows: -23, -22, 0, 0
Step #07 - Curves: Output: 159 / Input: 88
Step #08 - Textures! I used
this one, set to screen 62% opacity.
And
this one (by
fuuurs) set to soft light 25% opacity.
Sorry but I don't know the first texture maker. If some of these are yours, please let me know!
Step #09 - I think that the icon is still a little dark, so I made a new curves layer.
Output: 151 Input: 130
AND THAT'S ALL!
If you are interested in the psd
here it is.
If you have any doubt just let me know and I'll try to resolve it.
Hope this is helpful. ENJOY! ;)
