Independence from Oil - Public Meeting
I would like to invite you to a public meeting in Wellington titled
"Independence from Oil" where I will talk about a range of issues that
will be affected by the big challenges of climate change and peak oil
including tourism, transport, air travel and your power bills.
The single most important thing we must do to secure a sustainable future
is to reduce our dependence on oil. We do have options. New Zealand can
survive into the post oil age better than most countries but successive
governments have chosen to ignore all the signs of oil depletion and
climate change, and the opportunities we have to plan for a better way of
life.
One key decision we will make this year, as a nation, is who will form the
government that will start to deal with the biggest issue we face. Come
and hear the policies the Greens are offering.
Public Meeting: Independence from Oil
Date: Monday 4 July 2005
Time: 7.30 pm
Venue: Aro Valley Community Centre, 48 Aro St
I look forward to seeing you at this event.
Best wishes
