For pwdressingroom, Spark was taken from October 4th, 2026, three days before case 4-4 starts.
Some of this builds on off-hand remarks in AJ, some of it is from my head.
Spark Brushel, age 36, freelance journalist.
Smells strongly of mint, both from the toothpaste & toothbrush he carries, as well as what would be a lifetime supply of Altoids for anyone else.
Does a lot of food/restaurant reporting -- he loves food. Hamburgers are a favorite, actually.
Also does some general Arts & Entertainment work, for major LA newspapers and alt-weeklies. He does do some "real" journalism, and dreams of breaking a really big story.
I'm taking his position as a reporter to mean he will recognize anyone who's done something reasonably newsworthy. So don't worry that it's a spoiler if he recognizes a character from games 1-3 -- I'm most likely making stuff up. (Already have established that reviewing Tres Bien was a traumatic experience, though he had no complaints about the waitstaff.)
He considers Zak Gramarye a close friend -- his reaction on meeting him in the Dressing Room was something on the order of "yay Zak", even after Zak punched him. (And I will note that he was so gleeful I kept finding myself grinning that ridiculous grin myself.)
Apollo Justice Spoilers Begin:
I'm playing him from (using the C-R timeline) the evening of October 3rd, 2025. This is a few days before the murder in case 4-4. At this point, he knows Zak is dead, he knows about the painting theft and has set up the interview with Misham. (Note: I am not sure if the game gives a canonical date for the article about the painting theft; if necessary, his timeline can deviate from canon by a few days.) I'm also going to attribute the article about the theft to his world's Lotta Hart -- the only Lotta he's met gave a different name, and he only knows her by name, not face.
At this point, before entering the DR, he'd never met Apollo face-to-face, nor Lamiroir. He does not yet know that she's Thalassa. He's never met Thalassa, either -- he first met the Gramaryes during the investigation into her "death", and has only seen pictures. He has met Trucy, but not since she started living with Phoenix. He has met with Phoenix, and more than just the time we see it -- there was some teamwork during Phoenix's investigation.
