Dear Zara,
The first seizure you had was scary. I know I had one too, but that didn't mean you had to go all sympathy seizure on me. Just when I thought you were getting better, Mum tells me you had another. I'm sorry we had to take you to the scary place, but it's for your own good. We want to be able to manage this illness okay, and I'll hold your paws every step of the way. I'll even stop complaining when you want to sleep on my shoulders despite the fact you're no longer a tiny fluffy kitten any more.
And I'm pre-emptively sorry for when we have to take you back to the scary place on Monday because they couldn't do everything they needed to do today. But I will say this, littlecat: if the v-e-t says that the blood test won't hurt, he's lying. I'm speaking from experience okay? However, it doesn't take long and it will help us all. I promise.
He was also lying when he said you weren't special for having seizures. You're my special little girl and you never, ever forget that, okay? I've got you baby girl.

Thank you for looking after Zara after her second seizure when you were left with just my brother in the house. I know you two don't get along all the while, so I'm glad you can put your differences behind you when it really counts. You're a good boy, Bran Bran, yes you are.
