She is beautiful. My little Nermal Bug hated me when I got her fixed. She wouldn't let me pet her for a few days. I wish you could keep her. Good luck on finding her a good home.

Awwww, you have a Nermal! How cute! :) Yes, Sleepyeyes wants me to get fixed now, too, which I wouldn't mind in the slightest, but the vet said no. She's mostly feral and has reverted to fully feral and pissed the eff off for now, so once her 24 hours of confinement were up (ok, more like 36 'cause she was sleepy), she decided to go off and heal on her own. So don't blame her, I don't like people around when I'm in pain or not feeling good, either... plus Bandit, the neighborhood raccoon, found the dry food just outside her nappy place (kennel) last night of all nights.... he's cool, but *very large* and not the quietest animal.

Thank you! I'm hoping someone with experience with ferals and semi-ferals will fall in love with her, though I think it's going to be awhile before she trusts me enough to get close to her again. Until then... all I can do is keep fresh water and food out and tempt her with the gooshyfood. :)

LOL I am sure Nermal was thinking of other plans for me when I took her. But it was a have to case ya know. But she didn't think so. And let me know about it by shaking her carrier many times while walking in with her. I swear you would have thought there were at least 2 cats in there.

Well some don't know how to deal with a farel cat. I have one right now. Little Miss Sassy Britches in fact. She always looks at me like I'm crazy with her wild looking eyes. I can't even get near her but she knows where the food is and who supplies. We brought her when she was really little. I think after a few bribes with the gooshyfood she will come around. :) Good luck sweetie.

lol.... Sleepyeyes did *not* like the carrier, either. I worked with her for 3 years, with several escapes from traps and carriers, before I finally just picked her up (sort of in fear for my face) and put her in the kennel that she'd been sleeping in for a couple of weeks. She still made a break for it when the door was halfway closed, but thank goodness for ferals responding to being held by the scruff of their necks! She also bolted after surgery, still full of drugs and could barely hold her head up, but I guess an adrenaline rush came over her. Once again, scruff of the neck. And a not *too* badly mangled right hand. :)

Thank you and good luck to you as well! Cats are smart, luckily, they know when they have it good, even if it takes endless amounts of patience on our part and what feels like a horrible betrayal of trust on theirs... I'm sure Little Miss Sassy Britches will come around, too. (Love the name, BTW.) /crossing fingers :)

Oh no!! You poor thing. Bless your heart. I always try to take a can of food and tap on it as a bribe to get one of them to come to me so I can put them in the carrier. Sometimes it works and sometimes I get the look like are you stupid momma we aren't falling for that. Needless to say when I do my other kitties like Mr Chubbs and Oddball think hmmmm momma is going to give us a treat. Little Miss Sassy Britches is in her own little world. She won't come around. But at least shes safe and warm. And well fed. lol You are more than welcome and thank you.

Sleepyeyes' mama, Silver, taught her too well. Never go into traps or carriers, even with gooshy or treats. Silver was *mean*, I could never get near her without her lashing out.... but oh, so beautiful... silver Egyptian Mau. We find all sorts of gorgeous strays and ferals around here. Here's some pics: http://pics.livejournal.com/catalytic_kali/

I think there's something about where I live, even though it's smack dab in the middle of the city, we have the most interesting strays/ferals. My sister found a purebred Aby who had apparently gotten out and knocked up 15 years ago or so.... it's been like that forever. I even found an argente Russian dwarf hamster in the mouth of one of Sleepyeyes' kittens, Kali. His name is Menchi or "minced meat," hehe.

Right now, the only 2 left of the colony are Fluffy, my pissy (part Maine Coon) watchcat and Sleepyeyes herself. Everyone else has found homes. Fluff's my soul-twin cat, he knows instinctively if I'm not feeling well... and with fibromyalgia, I'm hardly ever feeling well. He "heels" like a dog, but doesn't like it one bit, it's too cute. He also bitches me out if I cuddle him when he's being fearsome, lol.

I think I live on ancient kitteh burial ground or something mystical like that.... or animals can sniff out a sucker like me, hehe. :)

Omgosh, we get your normal strays here. My Oddball knows when I'm not feeling well or just want to cry cause he will make a chirping noise and come running over to me and rub his head on my face. I have even cuddled with him crying. He looks at me funny but he just lets me cuddle with him till I feel better.

Sweetie they can sniff out suckers. Sorry. I know this because they sniff me out all the time. lol

Leo cuddles best when a blanket is involved.

Chubba's can be on the chair asleep but I swear its like my blanket says something to him cause he will come running and lay down on me and start digging his claws in me. Does your cat do that as well?

Not necessarily, but anytime I lay down on the couch he insists on going under the blanket. Also, sometimes if the blanket is on the floor he will climb completely under it. He also comes running when I show him the brush. He's a pretty funny kitty. In fact, he's asking to go under the blanket now!

Oh how adorable. Chubbas thinks any blanket in the house is his. And if he sees me with one here he becomes very very vocal. I call him my blanket whore because that's what he is.

Leo is not very big, but he thinks he deserves the whole bed and he goes all the way under the covers at night too. He has actually come really close to knocking me off the bed.
