It may not be the most fun world but it is a normal world. Full of normal things. And normal people. Most of your life has been normal. Except that one time when you found that magic artifact and unleashed that magic being. Angel. Demon. Genie. Type thing. Creature. And that's when you got stuck with him. But after such a normal existence it must

Walking home from school one day, some school bullies were pushing her around, making fun of her silly necklace. She clutched at the necklace, wishing for the bullies to just leave her alone. She didn't realize she was wishing until it was too late.

The sky darkened, clouds seeming to draw in unnaturally fast. Her necklace started to glow extremely brightly, apt to blind everyone in the immediate vicinity. When the light died down, he stood in front of her, malicious grin on his face, arms crossed.
"You really want these troublemakers gone, don't you." His voice was smooth and calm, betraying his somewhat chaotic and disheveled appearance.

"I..." she started, not sure why she should tell the mysterious stranger what she had just been thinking a moment ago.
"They were picking on me. I just wanted them to stop."
Reply
"And what method would you like me to enforce on them to get them to stop? Surely it must be something permanent. Drifters do often tend to repeat the same crime." He grinned harder, baring his sharp teeth at the gang.
His head tipped to the side in a light quizzical look. "Death? Banishment? Mind wiping? Personally I prefer murder, but the choice is yours. Then again... if you can't think of anything I'll be glad to supply the extra mile."
Reply
"W-what do you mean? I don't want to kill them or anything. I just wanted them to leave me alone..."
Reply
"But what's to say they won't return once I've gotten them to do that? Use up a wish so foolishly will mean that you'll have to use up another when they do. Permanent is the only applicable option." His response was entirely nonchalant.
Reply
"Besides, they're just kids. They'll learn their lesson."

It was quite the dilemma.
"Tch." What to do, what to do. "Then I will banish them to the other side of this earth. Certainly they'll learn their lesson then." He raised his hand, ready to do the deed.
Reply
"Just... make it so we're not near each other anymore. Like a restraining order or something..."
Reply
"As you wish, master." A dark crimson light emanated from his hands until he threw it at the troublesome youths. "Whenever you come within one hundred feet of this young woman you will be troubled with the shadowy pains of ten thousand knives piercing your beings. Your insides will bleed. Your vision will go dark. Your breath will become short! You might even die!" He began laughing harshly. "The symptoms will become worse and worse the closer you get. The further you get, the more they will dissipate. Get too close and you will succumb to everything and fall down dead."

Ryou, however, was also scared. Not only from the darkening in the sky, but from the words that came from the person in front of her. Did... that actually happen?
"That was... a little dramatic." They had probably been scared enough when he had first appeared out of nowhere. "But... thanks.."

"That necklace you're wearing..." It was half the reason he'd been so determined to kill those bullies. Making fun of her was one thing, making fun of his treasures was quite another. "Don't lose it." He finally finished with a nod.
Reply
"Why? What happens if I do? It's just something I found at an antique shop..."
Reply
"Do you have any idea who or what I am?" It was probably best to start with the basics.
Reply
"Well, no. I just thought the necklace was neat looking and wanted to buy it." The shop owner did give her a funny look when she picked out this particular necklace.
"Are you... like a genie, or a djinn? Or maybe even a spirit of some sort?"
Reply
"I am bound to you now. So don't go losing that necklace. You get three wishes- or some bullshit like that, is what I'm supposed to say. But I'll use my magic how I see fit."
