[Open] RNG Path
It had been nearly dusk, you and Atem walking side by side on the way to somewhere. As you both continued walking there were strange flashes of light in front of your eyes, but he didn't seem to be reacting strangely so you didn't say anything. Next you were feeling heat, flustered, unnerved by something. It was then that Atem finally turned to you, an anxious look on his face. He reached out to brush his hand against your arm before the ground opened up and swallowed him whole. Before you could even call out for him you were next.
Roll the dice: 1-5 to reveal your fate:
1. It's been two weeks since you disappeared from your time and place. Thankfully whatever position you seemed to have assumed is one of high royalty. They treat you like a king here, look up to you for advice, and you rule their country. On a ride out, still trying to find your way out of this place, trying to find Atem, you spot a body sprawled out underneath the hot sun in the desert. You only hope it isn't too late.
2. It's been five months and you're starting to give up hope of ever finding Atem or your way back home. Seated in your position of royalty over whatever land this is only gives brief reprieve at times. After a particularly grueling royal proceeding you're escorted back to your chambers. Inside waiting as a young messenger holding a slightly familiar young King in chains. "This is a present from our lands. Our capture." He says. "The newest member of your harem."
3. You're lucky you've made it the five days you have in this unforgiving desert heat. Unfortunately it's all coming to an end. You're out of whatever water you were amazingly able to find and can't see straight anymore. Falling to your knees, you think you see a giant beautiful blue bird in the distance. A mirage you tell yourself. This is it. Atem's name is the last on your lips- and just by saying it you think you've summoned his image into the mirage. The bird stops circling and seems to land on his arm as he approaches.
4. It's been three months and you were thrown right into the middle of a war leading a group of people you don't even know. You're nearly still not even sure what you're fighting for, but you have found you're not allowed to abandon your post. You can't just leave and try to find Atem or a way home no matter how badly you need or want to. In the dead of night there's a scuffle outside your tent, the noise of horses trampling through camp. You go outside to see a bruised, bloody King being dragged behind one of the horses.
5. Wandering listlessly in the desert for you're not even sure how long had been a rather stupid idea. A group of thieves and bandits had since picked you up and enslaved you. Escape is impossible and it feels like you've been there forever. Your body is growing weak from their harsh treatment, sparse food and water and constant beatings when you step out of line. In the middle of a task they'd asked you, a fight seems to arrive at the mouth of the cave they'd been hiding in. An impressive number of men fall before you see who is leading the fight. His eyes catch yours and he smirks, bringing his sword effortlessly down on another man who tried to overtake him.
