The story is pretty much almost exactly the same as it usually is. Pharaoh of Egypt, trapped in a puzzle, woken up as a crazy spirit, mellowed out, traveled a lot, saved the world, stayed in your time, and grew a relationship with you afterwards. Yes. That's the basic storyline of your and Atem's life as far as it goes. There's just one minor difference in this story-
This time Atem is a girl. It's not a sudden change, she's always been a girl. Everything else is still the same between you two. And for the past week you've been putting her off every time she tried to talk to you. Underneath a plethora of "Not now"s and "Give me a minute" and "Come back later"s, she's finally lost her cool.
"If I don't say this right now it's never going to get said!" She shouts, getting your attention, finally, if only for a moment. But what she says next will definitely have your full, undivided consideration. She looks nervous, something strange on her features. And then the words hit the air almost as startling as the sound of a gunshot.
"I'm pregnant."
