Lots this week.

I went to Los Angeles over thanksgiving to visit friends. The city was great. It feels like you could spend decades there, trying to make sense of it all, and never being able to. It's too large. It changes. Sometimes I felt like I was in Mexico City, in the best way possible, and not just because it was loaded with people who looked like me. I might end up there next summer, at The Wall Street Journal's bureau. I should find out about that in a few days.

Regardless, I'm going back to Miami. I might do LA for the summer first, then return to South Florida. I might also get a grant to live/work/study in Latin America for a year. Of course, I would return to the Herald. JD, I'm counting on you to make it down to the brownie party. Also, I decided to go to graduate school, post a few years in Miami. Top schools on my list: Florida International University, New York University, University of Texas at Austin and UCLA.

In the meantime, I'm moving back to the MSU area. I'm taking Portuguese this spring five days a week, and the drive will kill me if I continue. I found a beautiful house with some great guys in Lansing, met everybody last night. $200/month. Can't beat a deal like that. They have a dog, too. He can be my jogging companion maybe. I think this last semester will be a blast. My roomates will take me dancing, and show me all that I never knew of Lansing. My Mexican friends are already planning parties. One of my professors offered me a research assistant job. Adam is moving back.

All in all, I have nothing to complain about.
