What does a guys have to do to get an intersteller straw?

Woohoo! We are on our way to capture a "Booze Cloud" or whatever Storvik called it. All I know is this : There is alot of it out there, and that it ALL comes pre-chilled. Right down to a nice and crisp zero Kelvin. Now that is what I call refreshing ( Read more... )

You'll just have to wait for us to get it all compressed into liquid form; right now it's a very thing, widely-dispersed gas.
And I will not get into the Horsehead Nebula discussion again, nor I will divert us to the Crab Nebula because you "feel like seafood".

You know I'm allergic to the Crab Nebula.
Anyhow, we need to suck in all of the alcohol fast, before Starfleet comes looking for us. They wanted us to do something for them, but we don't know what.

Your grasp of science once again astounds me mib_khan February 28 2003, 07:21:31 UTC
We cannot *suck* in what is essentially a vacuum. After all, the action of sucking implies a pressure differential, and we cannot supply less pressure than vacuum.

I would recommend either using a gravity singularity to pull the alcohol to a central point, or using the transporter to directly remove the alcohol molecules from the nebula. This latter method has the advantage of being simpler, and the former method has the advantage of being less costly in terms of energy. As you are aware of my experience in this field, you can take my advice or not, as is your wont.

Ooh, that made too much sense. Pardon me, I must go medicate myself once more.
