There was a new feeling of sadness in the house, and Phoebe couldn't shut it out. She wasn't even sure that her empathy was feeling true, but something within her made her seek it out and follow it.
When she found herself in front of one of the guest rooms, she knocked lightly.
Claire considered that. Maybe it would be good to just get everything out. "A demon tried to kill me this weekend. That's how the fire started. My boyfriend is blaming himself...except he's not my boyfriend anymore. He decided to break up with me to protect me."
She sighed. "Did I mention that today is my birthday?"
