Claire wanted to paint her toenails. She made the very important decision to go with a bright red color.

She also had plans to stay in and watch tv. Monday night tv was kind of awesome.

Sam realized that he needed to talk to Claire before she watched the town news broadcast. Or before anyone that might have been in or around the Divine Leaf decided to go and tell stories to her.

He knocked on her door and hoped she would be able to forgive him.

"It's open!" Claire called.

"Hey," Sam said, walking in and closing the door behind him. "You busy?"

"Just painting my nails and watching tv," Claire grinned. "But I have time for you."

"Cool."

Sam gave her a tight smile and went to sit on Weevil's former bed. "I have to tell you something that happened today," he said. "I'm not sure if you're going to like it."

Claire immediately put the bottle of nail polish on the table, giving Sam her full attention. "What's going on?"

Sam sighed. "I went down to the Divine Leaf today. Lana was working. She... something weird is going on. It seems like a bunch of people are under some kind of weird spell or something."

Sam? Avoiding the issue? Never!

Claire frowned. "A spell? Seriously?"

"That's what it seems like. She and Dean are both acting really weird. Apparently your boss is too," Sam said. He sighed again. "Anyway, Lana sort of... um... kissedmeattheleaftoday."

"Lana did what?" Claire wasn't quite sure she heard that.

[normal_i_am]

"She kissed me," Sam repeated. "It wasn't anything big, just a little kiss. But, uh, Dean walked in and got kind of pissed. I don't blame either of them though. Like I said, they're both under the influence of something else."

"She kissed you because she was under a spell?" Claire repeated. "So this means I shouldn't blame her then?"

"Or me?" Sam said, giving her a hopeful look. "I don't know what's going on, but there's definitely something not right."

"I don't blame you. I agree something doesn't seem right," Claire said.

Sam breathed a sigh of relief. "Good. I was worried that you'd be upset with me."

"It's not your fault," Claire said simply. "Do you know what's causing all of this latest weirdness?"
