I guess all my Election 08 tags have been leading up to today. Thank god it's almost over; I'm all showered and dressed for the day...I'll probably go vote when I'm done with this entry. It's a comfortable walk to my polling place from where I live (about 20 minutes), so that'll give me an excuse to go for a nice little walk, too

Obama wants to ban guns? Oh no, whatever will I do? All those millions of people attacking me everyday...how will I defend myself from them?

Oh, I absolutely think that if the students were armed, those situations would be 800 times worse. Instead of 32 people dying at VT, several dozen could have ended up dead. You're taking a terrifying situation full of confusion and panic and mayhem, and throwing in a few hundred armed, emotional young people. It really seems like the worst idea of my life. I don't see ANY situation where adding more guns makes that situation better, unless you are taking about highly trained officers being omnipresent. But considering there is no training and emotional/mental requirement to owning a gun, I think a school shooting would turn into a full out massacre.

Mouth ulcers are the bane of my existence. :(

I know I, personally, would NEVER bring a gun into a home with a child. Which is fine because I have zero inclination to ever have either. :)
