I saw Dark Knight. I reviewed it at Flixster! But no one ever fucking goes there. So I'm posting my review here. YOU CAN'T DODGE MY MOVIE REVIEWS FOREVER. I HAVEN'T REVIEWED 1640+ MOVIES FOR MY HEALTH. GO TO MY FACEBOOK AND READ MY REVIEWS.

Anyhow, I was going to say that you should try meeting people who have similar interests as you...but then I read that you were involved in Meet Up groups that involved your interests. I'm wary of the whole online anything because people can pretend to be someone they are not so easily. Also, so many people escape to online because they look at is a replacement for socializing with real people, which it is not. I mean...let's say you like comics. Well if you walk into a comic book store, chances are, the people there don't care who else is in the store. They are there to look at comics.
However, if you join an online comic group, chances are there are going to be a lot of people there who are there to meet people...just under the guise of being interested in comics. Hell..some of them probably never picked up a comic book in their life.
I don't really know what to say except try striking up conversations with people in certain public places (like comic book store or something) & talk to friends of friends/family that you already have.
And that sucks you got stood up! At least she should have called you.
And lastly, I'm glad you liked Batman. I will probably wind up seeing it. I'm just not that much of a movie person nowadays because I can't get past the fact that it costs almost $10 to see one.

It's hard to find places in Western PA that are gathering points for comic book fans or manga nerds. I have had a few, but this county I live in now is less prone to those kinds of places.
It is good advice, though. Like I said...I check regularly to see if any card stores have opened up YGO tourneys in my area, but...not so much. :(
