Pens are up 3-0 on the Flyers, and nothing made me happier than beating them in front of their fans. At the end of the game, I was yelling at my TV, "Come on, guys! Didn't you watch the first two games? This is where we chant GO HOME FLYERS! Come on! You can do it!" But they didn't. Can't imagine why. Maybe they're too busy scribbling signs about their fascination with us being "divers". Aw, you give Evgeni Malkin a 9.5 for diving? That's cute! I give your team a 10.0 in choking.

I was reading Mario Lemieux's wiki last night during the game and saw that twice in his career, Mario Lemieux received an extended standing ovation in Philidelphia (once for playing in the same day as he received his radiation therapy for his cancer, and once when he played his last ever game in Philidelphia before his first retirement). I wondered aloud why we can't trade in these current douchebag fans for those guys.

Since I mentioned the officiating last entry, I'll elaborate on it here: Last night was a touch weird. In the first 15 minutes of the first period, the refs were calling weird, crazy hooking calls on both teams that were ticky-tacky at BEST, and after that point, they swallowed their whistles. Only one call combined from the second and third periods. Maybe they were imposing their will with the early calls ("We're watching you") and then just letting them play after the skaters knew they were watching.

I'm going to confuse Trinity again with this entry being time-stamped for last night, but being posted this morning. I have a weird habit of opening a Journal Update tab, then forgetting about it until later.

I think I finally found something sugar-free that I don't love: ice cream. Or at least, the Great Value Wal-Mart brand sugar free strawberry ice cream. It's really not as good as strawberry should be. I did, also, get sugar-free fudge stripe cookies, and those are just fine.

I don't know if I'd made much mention of that here before. Ever since November, I've been trying to eat healthier. Not to say I'm eating "healthy" (junk food is still FTW), but I don't drink caffeine anymore and I'm trying to cut out unnatural sugars (I joke that I'm down to only drinking 4 things: Water, Juicy juice, diet root beer, and diet Sierra Mist). I've been getting a lot of sugar-free pudding and Jello and ice cream and cookies (apparently). Sourdough pretzels and carrot sticks and grapes and salads for snacks and much less in the way of candy. I've always just loved eating salads. When I feel like eating well, I just make lettuce and apple cider vinegar. Other times, I use Italian dressing.

I've been doing okay. I started all this because around the holidays, I hit 170 lbs for the first time in my life, and I always swore if I hit that, I'd change my lifestyle up. Ever since then, I've been floating in the mid-160's, which is fine. No matter what I change about my snacking habits, it's hard for me to really change much because I still eat basically non-stop. :) I love snacking. Now I'm just doing it more healthily.

I should have picked up some grapes last night. Hm. But they didn't have any green grapes. Just purple. Green is better.

Already can't wait for the weekend. It's going to be a good quiet one. I have to get an oil change (I think right now, I'm 60 miles over. I've done much, much worse. Heh) and I'm sure I'll go to the movies before or after I do that on Saturday, but the rest of the weekend is going to be peaceful and left to me.

Oooohhh. That reminds me. I have to get my car inspected this month. I should schedule a stop at NTB for that. That's not going to be much fun; including whatever else may end up needing worked on, I have to get my mirror fixed, my gauges working again, and potentially two new rear tires. Rar. Cars are the pits. I just had to put $45 in gas in it yesterday. I wish Westmoreland County had more dependable public transportation.
