[Phone]So I suppose congratulations are in order. I honestly have no idea how you managed to bring me here, where this is or who you are. Given the parameters of the experiment, I'm assuming you can hear me, though I doubt you'll bother responding directly. Still, it's all quite impressive

If it wasn't for her figure, Clod wouldn't be able to tell that this person is a girl. Paper bags tend to be very gender neutral. And she's twirling around a knife. That, surprisingly, doesn't phase the girl. It makes her all the more interested.
Perhaps against her better judgment, Clod approaches Naze.]
Hello there, little one.
Are you well?
[Question of the year especially in a place like this.]

I'm in peak physical condition, though that could change soon. I can't say I'm particularly happy with my situation though.

[Clod tried looking beneath that bag of hers just to get a glimpse, but this probably wouldn't turn out well.]
That's all right, I understand. This town took everything that used to belong to you whether you wanted it or not. Including your... body.

[Given Naze's sitting, it's easy enough to tilt her head to keep her face hidden]
They were extremely thorough. Even old injuries and scars have been removed. Well, it's not like I've never seen something that could do this.

But then, if your wounds are gone, it doesn't seem like there's a reason to hide your face. I'm sure you're a very pretty lady.

That's the problem. [She twirls the knife again] I was actually considering fixing some of it.

Most would be afraid of what Naze just said, but Clod? That smile hasn't quite vanished.]
I was hoping to have a look at your face before your wounds came back.
But you know, and please don't think I'm trying to change your mind... Once a scar is made, it can never be healed. Hidden, yes, but never healed. Your body will never become what it once was when it is made.
Try going a month before this place returns your wounds in a neatly wrapped box. It's nice being in my old body if only for a month. Then it'll be taken away again like before. Forever.

Not necessarily. I knew someone who could literally erase the existence of a scar.
[Well, she wasn't considering it too seriously... since the wound she was going to replicate was kind of a brain injury and there's a high chance she wouldn't survive this time]
You don't normally have this body?

Men who believed they figured everything there is to life decided to play around with it. They applied changes, genetic, biological, and chemical, to find a satisfactory result, one that is beyond human.
They succeeded. And then, the world ended.

[That kind of story interests her... it sounds like the kind of thing she might do]
Oh? So they turned you into some kind of apocalyptic harbinger?

It wasn't fair for me to be the only one to suffer. So, I spread the madness to everyone. All to make things fair. Nobody complained, though. It was a self-inflicted retribution.
[The girl didn't have too many problems elaborating this side of her. She didn't care that much that other people knew. They should know. They need to know how much Clod suffered. It's all in the spirit of fairness.]
It's only because of this place that I get to be a human again for a little while.

It's kind of funny though, that great suffering came from genius like that. It's like how I live my life, but in reverse.

When you get down to it... it's never really fair.

In any case, "fairness" is just a concept we've come up with out of a sense of entitlement. It's not as if the laws of physics are made to be "fair" or "unfair".
