At Northgate, a ridiculous amount of teachers are leaving. Why, you ask?
The district has really gotten the hang of sucking at LIFE. They're not providing the money to keep teachers. We're going to need something like 20 subs for a substantial part of next year.
This is unacceptable.
There's going someone from the Contra Costa Times for publicity, and to make it very clear to MDUSD that we will not have our time wasted by a bunch of shitty bureaucrats who have gotten in the habit of putting more into their own pockets than in the schools they supposedly work for.
What I've heard is that the people at the district have been steadily getting raises, and our teachers keep getting cuts. It's never been GOOD, but they have reached the absolute breaking point and it's gonna be YOU and it's gonna be ME who will have to pay for it.
Teachers TEACH, and they can't do that if they aren't here.
The only thing the district has taught me is that self-interest fucks with productivity.
So maybe you're thinking, "Oh, what's the big deal? So we have some subs and we don't do ANYTHING in the school year! YAY!"
The big deal is that you're going to have to take the class if no one teaches it. You don't get an automatic A. Either they cram an entire year into a few short months after a teacher is finally located, or you get to repeat the course in summer school.
THE MORE PEOPLE SHOW UP, THE BETTER. BRING YOUR CAT. YOUR LITTLE SISTER. YOUR AUNT. WE CAN'T LET THE DISTRICT THINK THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH THIS. THEY NEED TO BE TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY.
