Warren's hanging around the lobby with his nose in a book. If anyone would like to pester him they're more than welcome.

Ianto is sitting at the front desk, as usual. He's reading over the survey forms he's recieved back. A few are proving to be very interesting, and Warren's is on that list.

This is why Ianto casts a few glances in his direction and then clears his throat.

Warren is silent at first, and for a moment it seems like he hasn't heard. Then, without looking up, he calls back. "What?"

He sounds almost amused as he calls back, "Bursting into flame?"

He again doesn't react for a moment, then he raises his head enough to look at Ianto over the top of his book and raises hit hand. He snaps his wrist, and the arm is encased in flames up to the elbow. He doesn't say anything, he doesn't see the need for it.

To his credit, Ianto does not over-react. Strange things happen to and around him every day. He does, however pull back in surprise, despite not being very close, and his eyebrows climb up into his hairline. "All right, you can turn it off now."

He flicks his wrist again and the flames vanish, and he looks up with a trace of amusement. "You did ask."

"I did." After a beat, his manners win out: "Thank you."

He nods slightly in response to the thanks and absently rubs his thumb and index finger together, a small flame flickering on and off between them. "Anything else?"

Ianto turns in his chair, letting his interest become more than obvious. "You could tell me about that. Flash, isn't it?"

He shrugs, not knowing where to start. "What do you want to know about it?"

"Well, there's always how." He pauses, lets a little smile loose. "After all, who's never wanted to shoot fire from their fingertips?"

There's a flicker of an almost-smile and he whips his hand forward, throwing the flame. It was fortunately small enough to barely leave a singed mark on the carpet. "I just do. It's genetic, inherited it from my dad." The hint of a smile is gone when he mentions his father, but it was barely noticable to begin with. "Just...wish for the fire to be there, and it is..." He raises his hand and it's suddenly covered in flames. "...Wish them gone and they go out." As he says it the flames extinguish themselves.

He watches intently, no doubt mentally cataloguing this entire encounter for later. He'll worry about the carpet later. "Is he human, your father?" And then, after the display: "Brilliant. Doesn't hurt?"

He just Looks at Ianto for a moment, as if debating how to answer that, and then decides to go with (to him), the obvious. "What else would he be?" At the second question he shakes his head. "No, doesn't hurt. It's got benefits, too, I've never burned my hand on a stove or anything like that since it started."

At the first, Ianto just nods quietly and lets it go; he's not going to push that. "I bet. Sounds like that could come in handy."

"Yeah. Especially working in a resturant." He's glad Ianto let that go. He'd answer if Ianto pushed further, but he's glad he let it go.
