Kris as the POV character really works...and this is not just my super Jie/Noona fan status talking here. His sense of responsibility as leader, which in the previous story it was clear he didn't really want to be, and feeling kind of off by not being in the leader role, the same role he didn't want LOL. I love that Yixing, Jongin, and he are close enough that they read EXACTLY how he's feeling.

Awkward Kris trying to pick up Rose...at least he didn't say "Drop the Shades" or "You know how to play"

For some reason I thought, hoped, that Yixing would transform and heal Jongdae and Jongin if they were near him...I wasn't expecting him to heal all of them from a distance...WOW

Kris and Baekhyun's bromance...it's pretty close to reality except without the underlying layer of Baekhyun's adoration (while teasing) of Kris hyung.

Luhan and Jongin fighting...the moment Kris confirmed to himself that Luhan knew he KNEW that fight was coming and didn't want anything to do with it...Kris is so adverse to being involved in lover's squabbles LOL

Jongdae...literally involved in this for two days, traveling across a desert, battling in a library, and heading home...baby is holding up pretty well.

I love that they had a conference of all of them together (except Zitao). How awesome is it to see the the story go from one Kai trying to get a Luhan so he'll feel safe to 9 of them in pursuit of the other three and off to save the world.

Though...does it strike no one else as odd that Suho would go with only Sehun to the Tree of Life...he's kind of missing the rest of the group even if he recognizes Sehun from his dreams. I hope they manage to call out one of the summons so they can tell him to STOP

I'm glad to see you're still enjoying the series despite the long wait between parts! (And naturally a Kris POV would be of most interest to you, I know. ^_^) I think when they made the agreement that Kris would be the leader, it was because he didn't want to be subject to anyone else's decisions - he never expected to be trying to keep such a large group of people all pointed in the same direction and, you know, actually leading!

Had the mini-album come out before I'd written that part, there might well have been some canon atrocious pick-up lines in that scene. ;-)

I cheated a little with Yixing, since Aerith doesn't transform even when she's using limit breaks that heal the whole party, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to make him a unicorn. Dramatic license, right?

Writing Kris and Baekhyun's bromance gives me life, I swear. It's a nice, lighthearted relief from some of the darker plot stuff.

Kris knows when it's a good time to walk away. ^_^ Lu Han and Jongin's fights are their own business, even if everyone else gets stuck hearing part of what's going on. Anyway, they'll get to cover that later. It's a pretty awkward long-distance relationship the two of them are trying to maintain!

I know, I know, the timeline is ridiculous, right? My excuse is that it's based on a videogame, so everything happens stupidly fast. I can't have them driving halfway across a continent in the minute or so that it would take in the game, but there's only so much I can slow it down once the plot gets started. At least there's no Meteor? Jongdae has to adapt pretty quickly.

Zitao will get to be in the next group meeting, at least. For now, I suppose I should start planning his outfit. He's based on Hades, so there should be some skulls involved.

As for what Suho and Sehun are up to...you'll see sometime in the New Year! Hopefully it will all work out okay in the end.

I still want to know who Kris bribed to get those lyrics on the album...I mean really...

I liked the transformation...I figured it would take a major trauma to the body, like Kris, for it to happen though I was like, "NOOO...YIXING!!!" and when Kris was cataloging all his Yixing's injuries and realizing he'd had to get past the monster to get to the materia I was so worried.

It's a cute bromance and having Baekhyun's backstory fleshed him out greatly and we understand both characters since we've seen both of their POVs.

I know Kris have noted that it must be hard when Luhan doesn't even exist in their world all the time but it never occurred to me to think of it as a long distance relationship LOL

It's not ridiculous...the world is being destroyed by the day...Jongdae turned his entire life over after one night...TIME IS SHORT...so it makes sense to me

They went thru some serious effort to get that Zitao...honestly Luhan must have been SCREAMING from the other side when that attack happened. Kris...you should probably have called out Baekhyun man. It's not his real body and he would want to protect you man.

Well in Baekhyun's story I remember you giving a vague description of Tao so I'm sure it'll be fabulous

I'm off on holiday on the weekend (heaven knows how I'll manage to keep up with EXO for three weeks) so I figured I'd better respond to everything ASAP!

Yep, if you want that limit break, got to take a pounding first. Poor Yixing. Sorry, but it makes me happy that you worried, since what's a boss battle without tension, right? (Then again...I like happy endings, so it'll all work out okay, no matter what.)

The timeline...well, I wrote it out to see what happened on each day, and the Nibelheim stuff is on Day 6, where Day 1 is Yixing telling them about the Phoenix materia. It's like, let's take a week to save the world.

Kris is getting a little too protective for his own safety. (Or, from a writer's perspective, I didn't want them summoning anyone because it wasn't how I wanted the battle to go. ;-) )

Tao is always fabulous. The real question is what hair colour to give him when he appears this time...
