Oh, god. *crying* (In a good way.)

Jin's mom. The little red dress. Kame and Jin having a quiet (and expensive) night out, even with how that ended. How it ended, which I don't have words for except that I'm really grateful to be able to read this story without having to write it myself because it would gut me. And, oh, god, Kame's bedtime story (and everything he's talking around actually saying to Jin; my heart would ache for him, how careful he's being, but he's also so *happy*, and not just for Jin. And then there's Jin's interest in Kame's sex life or lack thereof...). Jin's birthday with his friends. That brooch.

I hope Jin has a great time in the states.

I totally knew there would be a reason to track your journal. ;)

As long as it's in a good way, that's okay!

I couldn't figure out how to get Jin to tell his family, but from what he's said about them I figured maybe his mother would take it upon herself to tell him. They do sound like such an interesting bunch!

Uh, yeah, that night out. Ouch. There's one scene I'm glad I don't have to write again, because that was torture. I find I'm quite enjoying writing in this universe but I don't seem to be able to do it without something heartbreaking each time!

The brooch - and the overall theme of this fic, actually - came from an email I received from pithetaphish talking about Jin shyly spreading his wings as he becomes this fabulous butterfly, and just like that, I knew what the birthday present had to be. :-)

I'm sure Jin will have an interesting time of it over there...

Thank you. I know it's not a very good time to be posting fic right now but hopefully I can provide a little distraction from the tragedy. Everyone needs some relief from the worry.

So many things I liked here... including but not limited to:
Ueda's sense of mischief is well-developed, but when it comes to shopping he can be indecisive. "I'm going with lingerie," he tells Kame. "Do you think he'd kill me if I bought him a padded bra?"

"Yes," Kame says without hesitation. "And I'd help him hide the body."

Kame and Jin's night out... The way it ended just hurt. :'(

Ah, keysmash! I must be doing something right, then. ;-)

Ueda, somehow, always gets the best lines in my fics. I don't know why this is; possibly because he can say just about anything and it'll be plausible in some way.

I'd love to meet Jin's mum. She sounds like a fascinating person when he talks about her, and the whole family's just so darned quirky I think they'd be great fun to hang out with. I think she'd be okay with his choices here.

Yeah, writing the end of that night out was very painful. :-( I hope fics don't work like voodoo dolls or Jin's going to have rather sore arms now...

Poor Kame. Jin is so oblivious, bless him, but he does have the excuse of having his own life to figure out!

I am continually fascinated by Jin's mother. I'm pretty sure she'd be cool with it, somehow! :-)

KAT-TUN do like a nice bit of sadistic love, when it comes to presents for Jin. ;-)
