Final weekend and then home

What a day, Friday... what a rollercoaster! So emotional. Lots of teary goodbyes. Arrived at the creche to find the kids practising saying 'Cheese' for a whole creche photo with us, followed by hug-pile! But we got up Table Mountain finally :) OMG! Amazing views, clouds rolling across us, so beautiful... Night in the absolutely lovely African Home tonight, pool all to myself in the moonlight, cape peninsula tour tomorrow then straight to the airport to conclude an awesome and exhausting trip. Already missing the fabulous Fellows and sad it's come to a pause (definitely not an end).

Hotel room got invaded by the local cat :)

Saturday's Cape Tour was amazing, so many lovely sights - 'doing Titanic' off the cliffs, driving past beaches and through Simon's Town, the amazing Boulder's beach and its resident penguins (close enough to 'touch'). Was still half thinking in the back of my mind, 'I'll be back at the creche still Monday'. It didn't really hit home till I saw Cape Town receding from the departing plane... then it got real! I've definitely left a part of my heart in Cape Town, an amazing place.

Sadly we ran out of time before we hit Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope - so I guess that's destination 1 next time! :D
