So here are my personal favourites - there is a whole bunch of great moments i've left out but i had to keep to just five, so here they are! Let me know if you like the ones i've chosen and what yours would be! Enjoy :)
5. "I Want A Marriage."
MONICA: Hey.
CHANDLER: Hey.
MONICA: Listen, um...I've been thinking...It's not fair for me to ask you to spend all of your money on our wedding. I mean, you work..you work really hard for that...
CHANDLER Shrugs.
MONICA: Well, you work for that.
CHANDLER(standing up): Look, I've thought a lot about it, too. I'm sorry. I think we should spend all of the money on the wedding.
MONICA: You do?
CHANDLER: Yeah, i'm "putting my foot down". Look, when I proposed I told you that I would do anything to make you happy and if having the perfect wedding makes you happy then...Then, that's what we're going to do.
MONICA: You are so sweet.
MONICA kisses CHANDLER, then hugs him.
MONICA: Oh, but wait...What about our future and stuff?
CHANDLER: Ah, forget about "the future and stuff"! So, we'll only have two kids, you know? We'll pick our favourite and that one will get to go to college!
MONICA (smiling): You've thought about that?
CHANDLER: Yeah...
MONICA: How many kids were we gonna have?
CHANDLER: Uh..four; a boy, twin girls and another boy.
MONICA: What else did you think about?
CHANDLER: Well...(a bit embarrassed) stuff like where we'd live, you know? Like a small place outside the city where our kids could learn to ride their bikes and stuff. You know, we could have a cat that had a bell on it's collar and we could hear it everytime it ran through the little kitty-door. Of course, we'd have an apartment over the garage where Joey could grow old...
MONICA laughs.
MONICA: You know what? I don't...I don't want a big fancy wedding.
CHANDLER: Sure, you do. You...
MONICA: No. I want everything that you just said. I want a marriage.
CHANDLER: You sure?
MONICA (nodding): Mm-hm.
CHANDLER: I love you, so much.
MONICA: I love you.
They kiss.
MONICA: Hey, listen, when you were talking about our future, you said cat but you meant dog, right?
CHANDLER thinks for a beat.
CHANDLER: Yeah, totally.
MONICA(relieved): Oh, good!
4. "Because, I'm in love with Monica!"
CHANDLER(forced): Well, come here. I'm very happy we're gonna have all the sex.
PHOEBE(equally forced): You should be. I'm very bendy. I'm gonna kiss you now.
CHANDLER: Not if I kiss you first.
Neither one of them moves. Then, PHOEBE moves towards CHANDLER putting her hand round him. CHANDLER does the same, then quickly pulls his hand away again. PHOEBE thinks for a moment, then grabs his butt. CHANDLER moves, his hand hovering over her breast but quickly changes his mind and opts for her shoulder instead.
CHANDLER: Well, I guess there's nothing left for us to do but...but kiss.
PHOEBE: Here it comes...Our first kiss.
They awkwardly kiss. Suddenly, CHANDLER breaks away in a panic.
CHANDLER: OKAY! OKAY! FINE! YOU...YOU WIN! I can't have sex with you!
PHOEBE: And, why not?
CHANDLER: Because, I'm in love with Monica!
PHOEBE(shocked): You're...You're what?
MONICA comes out of the bathroom where she's been hiding. RACHEL and JOEY enter from the hallway, also shocked.
CHANDLER(pointing at MONICA): Love her! That's right, I - LOVE - HER! I - LOVE - HER!
MONICA smiles.
CHANDLER: I love you, Monica.
MONICA: I love you too, Chandler.
They Kiss.
PHOEBE: I just...I thought you guys were doing it, I didn't know you were in love!
3. "I'm still on London time, does that count?"
MONICA and CHANDLER look at eachother. MONICA breaks away.
MONICA: Well, we certainly are alone.
CHANDLER: Yes, good thing we had that not in New York rule.
MONICA: Right!
MONICA pauses.
MONICA: Um..listen, since we're on that subject, uh...I just want to tell you that, um...Well, I was going through a really hard time in London, what with my brother getting married and that guy thinking I was Ross' mother.
CHANDLER(remembers, smiling): Right!
MONICA: Well, anyway, I just...That night meant a lot to me. I guess, I'm trying to say thanks.
CHANDLER: Oh..
CHANDLER smiles at her.
CHANDLER: You know, that night meant a lot to me, too. And it wasn't 'cuz I was in a bad place or anything it's just...meant a lot to me 'cuz...you're really hot.
They laugh.
CHANDLER: Is that okay?
MONICA: That's okay.
CHANDLER: ...And i'm cute too...
MONICA: And you're cute too!
CHANDLER: Thank you.
They hug.
CHANDLER: Alright, I gotta go unpack.
MONICA: Okay.
They high-five. CHANDLER heads towards the door.
CHANDLER: Bye.
CHANDLER leaves. MONICA thinks for a moment. Then, she starts walking towards the door but stops. No, bad idea. She turns around and starts to walk away. CHANDLER suddenly bursts through the door, MONICA spins round.
CHANDLER: I'm still on London time, does that count?
MONICA: Oh, that counts!
CHANDLER: Oh, good!
They kiss.
2. "I thought this was going to be the most difficult thing i had to do..."
MONICA: Chandler, for so long I wondered if I would ever find my prince, my soul mate. Then, three years ago at another wedding, I turned to a friend for comfort and instead I found everything that i'd ever been looking for my whole life. And now, here we are, with our future before us and I only want to spend it with you; My prince, my soul mate, my friend...Unless you don't want to. You go.
JOEY: Chandler...
ROSS steps forward to hand CHANDLER his vows.
CHANDLER: Oh, that's okay.
ROSS steps back again awkwardly.
CHANDLER: Monica, I thought this was going to be the most difficult thing I had to do. But, when I saw you walking down that aisle, I realised how simple it was. I love you. Any suprises that come our way, it's okay because I will always love you. You are the person I was meant to spend the rest of my life with. You wanna know if i'm sure?
CHANDLER steps forward and kisses MONICA.
JOEY: You may now, uh, kiss the bride.
1. "Will You Marry Me?"
CHANDLER walks into the apartment and is shocked to see MONICA standing there, the room filled with candles.
MONICA: You wanted it to be a suprise...
CHANDLER looks at JOEY. JOEY smiles at him and leaves, closing the door behind him. CHANDLER walks towards MONICA.
CHANDLER: Oh my God.
MONICA gets down on one knee.
MONICA: Chandler, in all my life, I never thought I would be so lucky as to fall in love with my best...my best..
She breaks down.
MONICA: There's a reason why girls don't do this!
CHANDLER gets down on his knees.
CHANDLER: Okay, okay, I'll do it. I thought...
CHANDLER begins to cry, too.
CHANDLER: Wait, I can do this!
MONICA laughs.
CHANDLER: I thought that it mattered what I said or where I said it. Then, I realised, the only thing that matters is that you...You make me happier than I ever thought I could be. And if you let me, I will spend the rest of my life trying to make you feel the same way.
CHANDLER pulls the ring out of his pocket and opens the box.
CHANDLER: Monica, will you marry me?
MONICA: Yes!
CHANDLER slides the ring onto her finger. They kiss and then hug eachother.
MONICA: I knew you were "likely to take a wife"!
