wow. long weekend.
so, i went home weds with drake for thanksgiving. drove straight to AC after work to go see bad religion at showboat at the house of blues. we made it just in time for BR's set. it was awesome, met up w/ merry and joe, had some beers, and BR played a ridiculous set with some awesome old shit, even suffer. stayed over at the tropicana, cheap ass room, 58 bux, it rocked. woke up, drove to gma's house for tgiving dinner, delicious as always. after, drove down the shore to drake's sister's vet office where she was working emergency night shift, brought her dinner, hung out and watched her sew a dog's lip that got bitten by a pit bull. pretty cool, his sister is super vet! blood everywhere though, kinda gross. i have a new respect for her though, knowing that she was the only vet on duty and had to be able to handle any emergency that showed up. drove home, crashed. went to the bank and got my checking acct set up fri morning. afternoon, went to target and bought a nice dvd stand. went home, had tgiving #2 at home, 27 lb turkey mmm and my mommy's stuffing, so good. then hopped over to joe's house, and went w/ merry joe and drake to philly to see bouncing souls at the troc. awesome show, again. stomache hurt though from thanksgiving 2 so i had trouble drinking beers. went home, passed the hell out. woke up early again saturday for dr's appt, found out im healthy, got some spray to fix old foggy ear (hopefully) and some pill renewal (rock on). after, went home, and headed to red bank to check out a wedding site. it rocked. drake and i are thinking this might be the place. we decided to have lunch at the restaurant, we all ordered some really delicious wraps, asked for the check and they said it was on the house. score. heading home we stopped at jay and silent bob's secret stash, the comic book store from the movies. nice. too bad jason lee wasn't there. drake had fun. headed home. then hopped in the car and drove back to MD, since i had laundry and shit to do today. long weekend, but got lots done. now it's back to work, and wedding planning is in full effect. it's looking like 1 of 2 places in red bank, so anyone saving up for bahamas can now save up for spending at the secret stash on signed dvd's from kevin smith. it just seems more possible now to have the wedding in jersey-- we dont have to fly to islands to check out the place, and more family will be able to make it. planning for oct or nov of next year. woohoo! so much to do, so little time. hoping to see some GW folk in the near future, aka MR KASAI who i haven't seen since i moved to MD. loser. next weekend, seth's wedding in VT, which has sneaked up on me. i was hoping to relax next weekend, oh well. flying out friday night after work, wedding saturday, hopefully getting some snowboarding in sunday, and flying home sunday for work monday. ah the joys of having shit to do.
