[Well, he looks like a New Feather. A bit worn down from making his way into the village from whatever far-off inconvenient location he might have been dropped at the outset. Not precisely dressed for the weather. You know the drill.

He has a journal on hand; perhaps he knows what it's for, but he doesn't seem interested in using it to call for ( Read more... )

[Okay, winter sucks. Winter's cold. And Zoisite really misses the Dark Kingdom and all his amazing fire magic right about now, because humans are too weak and stupid to make wonderful insulating clothes.

And he's getting things for supper, which is boring and puts him in a bad mood because things tend to catch on fire when he cooks lately. A wandering attention span is not a friend in a kitchen.]

[Not to mention the constant plague on his mind that is Nephrite and that insane Senshi. That hasn't been fun to think about - trying to ignore it just makes the whole situation worse and makes him feel even more unguarded and out of practice.

Okay, to the clothing shop first and then on to buy supper...]

[Alright, looking at the list of things you need is a bad idea when you're walking. Someone could come up behind you and attack, you could try, or you could run into someone trying to attack you. Someone's walking towards him anyhow, better look to see who it is.

Hm. Well hello there tall, dark and ha-]

Zoisite.

[Momentary shock quickly becomes a smile]

...Have I lost my mind, or are we finally meeting in the next world?

[Oh god. Oh god. The wheels are turning in that head of his too fast for him to comprehend the fact that he's actually here. He's actually here!

He's frozen for a minute - he'd been steadily getting used to the idea that he'd never see his lover again...] Master...

[That list is quickly tossed aside, there's no formality now - Zoisite just bolts and closes the distance.]

[And he's holding onto you as tight as he can, trying to make sure that you're real and that this isn't some sick experiment.]

You're here!

[A little chuckle as Zoisite flies into his arms]

You haven't answered me, Zoisite. Where is here?

[But then he grows more serious, and his hold on Zoisite tightens just as much]

I'm sorry I wasn't able to protect you.

I've missed you.

[He takes a moment to get himself under control. The other's voice was comforting, though the words broke his heart... Oh, oh no!]

You're not dead, Master. [Looking up, resting his hands against the other's chest - bare chest. Need to get him home and into clothes. Right.]

This is a different world. It's... complicated. I'll get you home and explain everything.

'Home,' hmm? [He's a bit skeptical of this whole situation, clearly there can be no acceptable 'home' in this place, after all... but all of that can be sorted out later.]

[He strokes Zoi's hair affectionately for a few moments longer, and then loosens his hold on him so they can walk together]

Yes, let's go there.

[There's a smile as he pulls away.] It's home now. [And he's walking as close as possible to you. This? This is a protective Zoisite - pretty much ready to throw himself in the way of any attack for you, even though he's walking as casually as he can.]

I'll find some clothes for you once we get there. You must be freezing.

[Small smile, somewhat amused at his concern]

I would appreciate that.

[Yes indeed, he's been out in the cold wearing far too little for far too long, but he doubts he will lose any fingers over it, and it can only help to build his mental endurance to the cold, should he ever need it again.

But Zoisite always was the one to be worried about his comfort. He hadn't thought of that habit in a while, and it's charming to be reminded of it now.]
