[Kurt still couldn't believe that Rachel was now a 'he', but the poor wom---man, needed a hand. With a bag of (very fashionable) clothes under his arm, he knocked at the door and waited.]
[later that evening]negative_fiveOctober 21 2011, 01:49:48 UTC
[With Burt and Carol out of the house, things had calmed down somewhat, Rachel more than a little grateful that the only awkwardness remaining was the one between her... him and Finn. Checking his phone, he bit his lip, deciding that this had to be by far the best time to tell them. If she'd told them any sooner, they could have talked her out of it, but like this...]
I know you won't be all that happy about this, Finn, but... Jesse's coming. He should be here any minute. He... insisted I let him help.
[Knowing that Rachel needed him, and realizing how serious this was, he'd rushed as soon as he could from Pittsburgh, making the four and a half hour drive in just over three and a half. He sighed in disgust as he pulled up to Finn's house, but didn't let himself focus on it for long before he went up to the door and knocked.]
[When Kurt opened the door Kurt was surprised to see Jesse at his door, but not that much surprised.] So you've heard the news uhm? She's in my room. Uhm...he is.
[ For a good, oh, 10 seconds after Rachel dropped that bombshell, Finn just stared at 'her' uncomprehending. Then, like a switch being flipped, he jumped to his feet - although fortunately there were no available chairs in Kurt's room to kick - scowling fiercely ]
What?! You invited him here?!
[ and, of course, that's when he hears the knock at the door downstairs, and before he can yell down to tell Kurt to ignore it, the door being opened. He sighs heavily, crossing his arms ]
[He's standing precariously on a middle step, with Kurt right behind him and his overnight bag resting heavily on one shoulder, but he stops dead in front of Rachel and gathers...him into his arms. He reminds himself that it's Rachel he's looking at and pulls back, trying to get a good look at the new face.]
[Finn if you kick any of Kurt's furniture he will kick you in the balls. And you know he was the kicker of the football team, you don't want that.
Kurt frowns due to being completely ignored (manners, Jesse) and close the door. He eyes Jesse's bag and then glares at Rachel.] I did not know that our house was a motel now.
[ Finn follows Rachel but stops on the landing, glaring down the stairs as Rachel and Jesse have their moment. He's not happy about that hug, but he knows he'll get shouted down if he tries to say anything - afterall, friends hug all the time ]
[He pulls back from the hug with a faint nod, shrugging nondescriptly.] As okay as I'm going to be. This is horrible.
[Turning his attention to Kurt, he purses his lips, hands on his hips.] Kurt, where is he supposed to go? I'm not sending him to a hotel room by himself, that's ridiculous. He's here to help. You wouldn't send anyone else away. If he has to go, I go, too.
[Jesse sees hints of the old Rachel, feels the same personality coming from him, which is a little freaky.] It'll be okay.
[He sees Finn on the landing above them and he can't help but glare for a second before turning his attention to Kurt, a little calmer after seeing Rachel.] Really, you guys. Thank you for letting me stay. I think sh-- he needs all the support possible, and that's the most important thing, right?
[ Finn scoffs and rolls his eyes. He's not afraid of Kurt-- okay, maybe he is a little, but he does have a good few inches and pounds on his step brother and he will not be made to sleep in the garage of his own house, thank you very much. However, Rachel's words struck a nerve; he has no doubt that if things get too intense and Jesse flounces off, Rachel will probably follow. Which he absolutely does not want to happen. Time to swallow his pride, then ]
Whatever, Kurt. I'll be nice if he is. [ his tone suggests he doesn't expect much ]
His aunt and uncle moved, Kurt. He can't stay with them.
[Visibly relaxing when she realizes that Kurt is going to be more willing and pliant about this than she expected, he turns to give Finn a stern, poignant glare.] Finn, please behave. Jesse is going to be trying, so I expect you to try, too. Please.
And can we please stop using male pronouns? It's... bizarre. [Not as weird as Finn's slip-up earlier at dinner with Burt and Carole, though, where he referred to Rachel as she.]
Do we know what the sleeping arrangements are going to be?
"Same. I can behave if Finn can...since I have nowhere else to go, and I'm not about to leave Rachel."
[He moves up a step to stand next to Rachel, looking between the three other people with a question on his face. What the hell had happened earlier? He wants to get Rachel alone and ask her, but...the chances of that are slim.]
"I can sleep wherever. I'll just take the couch, if that's all right." [He'll just be happy to not have to share a room, or worse, a bed, with anyone that hates him.]
[ he glares right back at Rachel, annoyed at being singled out and treated like a child. Jesse's going to be trying, sure.
Still, unhappy as he is with this whole situation, he knows that Jesse's not going anywhere, so he he shrugs at the other boy ] You'll have to, we don't have a spare room.

I couldn't very well tell him to go to my dads'! That would look... bizarre, me being here and him going there expecting to find me!
[He throws Finn a look, pleading with him to behave before running halfway down the stairs to see Jesse.] I'm here.

Are you okay?

[At Jesse's words he huffs, but tries to relax. After all he promised Rachel that he will try to be nice to Jesse.]
If I catch you two fighting...[Kurt points an accusatory finger at Jesse, then at Finn.] ..you will be end sleeping in the garage. Got it?

Then once this is over where will you sleep? [The question is directed at Jesse.]
I will go get some blankets. Rachel can stay in my room, if Dad doesn't want me to sleep with my boyfriend then you can't sleep with your girlfriend.
